How long will my appointment be?

Usually 1 hour for an evalulation and a regular scheduled visit.

What should I expect on my first visit?

That will be the evaluation completed by the Physical Therapist, it usually is followed by a treatment which is an hour. Be sure to come 10-15 minutes early to fill out paperwork prior to the appointment.

Do I need a physician's referral/prescription to attend physical therapy?

Yes.

Will my insurance cover physical therapy?

Its always good to check with your Insurance company to make sure so there are no surprises. 99% of the time Insurance covers therapy and they will tell you how many visits you have per calendar year.

What should I wear/What should I bring with me?

Wear or bring to change into loose fitting pants/sweats/shorts and loose top or tank.

What office policies should I be aware of?

We bill insurgences as a courtesy and billing is done electronic. Your welcome to file your own Insurance claims. We have a cancelation policy. Generally, co-pays are due at the end of every session.

What happens if I need to cancel or change an appointment?

We ask that as soon as you know that you let us know that you won't be able to make your scheduled appointment either by phone, (by our office number or by our cell) and or by text. We will reschedule and do the best we can to get you in at a more convenient time.

What happens if my problem or pain returns?

Depending on the amount of time which has passed, we always keep the chart open and follow out the patients for several months to make sure they are doing well, if that should occur then when you come back in, we don't have to go through the evaluation process. We will have you come back in and check through everything. We are here for you and to help you.

Why is physical therapy a good choice?

It will reduce greater damage or problems later down the road. Greater quality for over all health. Reduces the risk of future damage and or problems.

How long will I attend physical therapy?

General we start the patients out at 4 weeks. Depending on the progress if longer is need the progress note will be sent to the Dr and will cont for another if needed.
